  • Location: Forum de la Faculté de Médecine, Strasbourg, France
  • October 16, 2018, 9:30am-4:30pm
  • Free 1-day event, registration required

3D Printing offers new opportunities for robotic and mechatronic systems in medical context. Size, function integration, mechanical performances can be improved but require special care given the medical constraints.

GDR Robotique and SPIRITS project consortium, gathering experts in the field, invite you to a technical day on the topic.

Who should attend?

This event is for engineers and researchers with an interest in design and manufacturing of robotic and mechatronic systems for medical applications.

Why should you attend?

  • Learn about the use of 3D printing in medical applications when robots and mechatronic systems are being developed.
  • Discuss with experts 3D printing for medical and surgical applications
  • Discover medical robotics platform of ICube in Civil Hospital of Strasbourg (limited number of participants)

More information

Meeting will take place at INSA Strasbourg, with possible visit in the afternoon of ICube lab in the Civil Hospital of Strasbourg.

Confirmed talks:

  • 3D printing of titanium alloys for biomedical and robotic applications (M. de Wild, FHNW, Basel, Switzerland)
  • 3D printing of glass structures for new surgical tools (Y. Bellouard & C. Baur, EPFL, Switzerland)
  • 3D Microfabrication based on two-photon polymerization (IS2M, CNRS, Mulhouse, France)
  • 3d (bio)printing in healthcare & regulatory affairs vision (E. Courtial, 3D.Fab, Lyon, France)
  • 3D printing of Shape Memory Polymer for medical devices with actuation and variable stiffness (L. Blanc, TIPs, ULB, Brussels, Belgium)
  • Multi-material additive manufacturing of polymer robotic structures for interventional radiology (P. Renaud, ICube, Strasbourg, France)
